There is concern that substance use may be contributing to an increased incidence of psychosis among children.
Consultant psychiatrist and specialist in internal medicine, Dr Chenelle Joseph says she has seen children as young as 11 years old with psychosis, a range of mental illnesses marked by a loss of touch with reality.
Dr Joseph explains that drug and alcohol use often trigger psychotic behaviour among young people.
