CHINA APPOINTS NEW AMBASSADOR TO ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

The People’s Republic of China has appointed Her Excellency Jiang Wei, as the new top diplomat to Antigua and Barbuda.

Beijing’s new ambassador presented her credentials in St John’s and paid courtesy calls on top officials of the government on Monday.

China is Antigua and Barbuda’s most important development partner, providing significant assistance in driving the twin-island state’s socio-economic progress.  The new ambassador expects to further deepen what she describes as the long-standing and fruitful partnership between the two nations.
