CMO PROVIDES DETAILS ON THE 39 NEW COVID-19 CASES
More details now on the 39 new cases of COVID-19…
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rhonda Sealey-Thomas says the individuals arrived in the country last Friday and Saturday.
The brings the total of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Antigua & Barbuda to 65.
The CMO says the 39 new cases include 19 nationals who were repatriated from the Dominican Republic.
The other 20 are a mixture of nationals and tourists who travelled from the United States.
The CMO says all are now in isolation.
She says health officials are now heightening surveillance in the general public and is hoping to begin using rapid antigen test at the airport shortly.
The public is being implored to adhere to the protocols and recommendations of the Ministry of Health including wearing masks, hand washing and sanitizing and practicing cough and sneeze etiquette.
