COMPLAINTS AGAINST POLICE TO BE INDEPENDENTLY INVESTIGATED BY NEW TRIBUNAL

New legislation governing the police force is weeks away from being taken before Parliament.
The amended Police Act will pave the way for a new independent tribunal to investigate complaints by members of the public against law enforcers.
The disclosure came on Friday from Attorney General and Public Safety Minister, Hon. Steadroy Benjamin.
