Concern Grows Over Untreated HIV/AIDS Patients
Members of the Aids Secretariat are concerned about the large number of patients that are not coming in for treatment.
Aids Program Manager Delcora Williams says there are currently 735 persons living with HIV/Aids in Antigua and only 248 are on record receiving monthly treatment.
Williams notes that there are several factors which have contributed to that number of persons coming forward for treatment.
The Aids Program Manager says that her organization continues to work with partners and support groups to further educate the nation and reminds everyone that HIV/AIDS is no longer considered a death sentence.
