COUNTRY MAY RECEIVE ANOTHER WORLD HERITAGE SITE

National Parks Heritage Director Dr Reg Murphy says this country may soon have another UNESCO World National Heritage site.
Nelson’s Dockyard received the designation in 2016 after years of work by Dr Murphy and his team.
He says Tourism Minister, the Hon. Charles Fernandez has commissioned him to undertake the project.

The National Parks Director says the possibilities are numerous and public consultations will be held on the issue.
He says he is partial to military forts such as forts Berkley and James, but the options are varied.

He says the aim is to identify the easiest qualifying option to quickly advance the project.
