EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CENTRES CLOSED PERMANENTLY
A number of Early Childhood Education facilities have been forced to close their doors permanently due to mounting expenses resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The revelation was made by Education Officer with responsibility for Early Childhood Education Embler Spencer.
Speaking on Antigua Barbuda Today, Spencer says there are now less than 90 operating early childhood facilities in Antigua and Barbuda, 3 of which are government owned.
Many of those centres she says have closed temporarily.
As it relates to the centres which have reopened, the education officer assures they have undergone stringent health checks by health authorities.
