EFFICACY OF OXFORD/ASTRAZENECA VACCINE AGAINST COVID-19

Even a single dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is proving effective particularly in older people.

That update this evening from the University of Oxford collaborators on the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19.

The University’s Saiid (sa-eed) Professor of Vaccinology Sarah Gilbert shares the findings after the roll-out in diverse locations.

Professor Gilbert says more work is being done improve the vaccine’s efficacy – particularly against variants and this may include the need for a booster shot in the future.
