Elections to Be Held In the Next 90 Days
Prime Minister the Hon. Baldwin Spencer has said that elections in Antigua and Barbuda will be held in the next ninety (90) days.
He was giving immediate reactions following the reading of the court judgment by Court of Appeal on the Boundaries Commission Report and Voter re-registration exercise this morning (Mon).
He adds that the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) must be ready to facilitate the general elections without the national embarrassment that was associated with the elections of 2004.
Prime Minister Spencer is pleased that the court felt that there was no evidence of gerrymandering in the matter as has been promoted by members of the opposition party.
The UPP leader says that he certainly does not feel vindicated by the decision of the Court of Appeal.
