Emancipation Watch Night Held At The Historical Betty’s Hope Estate

St.John’s,Antigua – A member of the clergy is making a case for the church to play a pivotal role in moves to have Emancipation Day to be declared a public holiday.

The appeal comes from Father Reid Simon of the St Paul’s Anglican Church, who was among speakers at a Watch Night event to mark Emancipation Day, August First, held at the historical Betty’s Hope Estate at midnight.
