ERICA EDWARDS RESIGNS FROM DNA
 
Erica Edwards has resigned from the Democratic National Alliance with immediate effect. The announcement was made by the party’s Political Leader, Joanne Massiah in a media release last night. Ms Edwards has been the party’s spokesperson on Social Transformation and Gender Affairs. She had also been the party’s candidate in St John’s Rural South in the March 2018 general elections.
Ms Edwards indicated her decision to the General Secretary in a letter dated June 20, 2019, in which she is quoted as having said that her efforts to advocate for changes in her community and country, “would be better served working outside of the limitations of partisan politics…”
The DNA has wished Ms Edwards well in her future endeavours and has promised to continue championing the principles of transformational leadership and good governance.
