FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER TO ADDRESS UNITED NATIONS FORUM
For the first time, this country is set to present a Voluntary National Review (VNR) of Antigua and Barbuda’s progress towards attaining the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Honourable E.P. Chet Greene alongside Ms. Joy-Marie King, Director of International Trade, will be presenting the country’s VNR to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
The International Trade Unit within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assisted by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) held extensive consultations with various stakeholders to prepare the report. These included government, civil society, private sector, youth, academia, and development partners.
Under the theme “Build Forward Stronger” the Ninth Session of the HLPF is underway and will end on July 15, 2021.
