FORMER ANTIGUAN CRICKETER CECIL ‘CHARLIE’ KING INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME IN THE US
There has been a proud moment for Antiguan Cecil ‘Charlie’ King in the United States, as he was inducted into the World’s First Cricket Hall of Fame in Connecticut.
King, who was born in Potters, played for Antigua and Barbuda before migrating to the United States in the 1970s, where he continued his career by playing in the Connecticut League.
He was also selected to represent the Northeast United States in 1983 and played against a touring star-studded Indian team that year.
He said he was humbled by the honour and recounted an anecdote about his son, Lester.
