Former St. Mary’s South MP Hilson Baptiste Has Died

Former Member of Parliament for St. Mary’s South, Hilson Baptiste has died.
He died around 11:30 on Wednesday at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was receiving medical care.
Baptiste was elected as MP for St. Mary’s South in the 1994, 1999, 2004, and 2009 general elections, representing the United Progressive Party (UPP).
During his tenure as Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries in 2009, he launched the Seafood Festival, an initiative aimed at fostering community pride and unity.
