FRONTIER-SPIRIT AIRLINES MERGER TO CREATE JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR ANTIGUANS AND BARBUDANS

President and Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Airlines, Barry Biffle has urged Antiguans and Barbudans to apply for the many jobs which are being created as the carrier merges with Spirit Airlines.
Tourism and Investment Minister Hon. Charles Fernandez recently received an assurance from Biffle that former LIAT staffers and others will be among those who will have opportunities for jobs.
The merger will create the fifth-largest U.S. airline by market share and will employ an additional 10,000 workers by 2026.
The Frontier Airlines boss encouraged applications during a recent zoom meeting initiated by Minister Fernandez in which CEO of the country’s Tourism Authority, Colin James also participated.
