Gaston Browne, Other Senior ABLP Officers Unopposed Heading into Convention
Prime Minister Gaston Browne is unopposed as leader of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, ahead of the party’s convention on April 12.
The central executive gave its nod of approval to all senior positions by acclamation, ahead of being ratified by the convention.
In addition to party leader Gaston Browne, the central executive gave its backing to chairman, E.P. Chet Greene, first vice chairman, Samantha Marshall, second vice chairman, Clement Antonio, and newly-minted third vice chairman, Donna Chaia.
The ABLP’s new general secretary is Shenella Govia, while the former holder of the post, Mary Clare Hurst, has been honoured with the title of general secretary emerita.
The new treasurer is Abena St Luce, while the party’s supervisor of elections is Mary Edwards
