GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES FRESH MOVE TO ASSIST FORMER EMPLOYEES OF LIAT 1974 LTD

The Government will be making another move to provide the promised 32 per cent compassionate payment to former employees of LIAT1974 Limited, in line with the shareholding the Government had in the now defunct carrier.

Prime Minister, Hon. Gaston browne has announced that his administration will earmark millions of dollars to pay a portion of this amount.

Prime Minister Browne also says the Government is prepared to negotiate directly with the workers.
