GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES INTERIM PAY RISE, ABST CUT AND MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE

The Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax will be completely removed from food items and school supplies for two days in April.

Cabinet confirmed this at its meeting on Wednesday, one of three measures aimed at helping to cushion inflationary pressures on the populace.

In addition, the minimum wage is to be increased and public sector workers are to receive an interim salary increase of 5 per cent as of this month.
