GOVERNMENT CLOSER TO RECEIVING LOAN FUNDS FOR UWI FIC EXPANSION

The Government is set to receive the first 40 million US dollars by later this year to begin the expansion of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.
It’s part of a 75 million US dollar loan being secured from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
More information was provided at Thursday’s post-cabinet media briefing on how the first 39 million dollars will be spent.
