GOVERNMENT COMMITTED TO NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME – SEN. MICHAEL JOSEPH

Junior Health Minister, Senator Michael Joseph has reaffirmed the Government’s intention to introduce national health insurance for Antiguans and Barbudans.

The state minister provided the update during an interview with ABS on Friday, conceding it is taking some time.

However, he says that time is necessary.

The Government has previously indicated legislation is to be drafted to empower the Medical Benefits Scheme to spearhead the initiative.
