Government Confident There Will Be No Need To Increase The Price Of Eggs Because Of The Switch To Bio-Degradable Egg Boxes

Health and Environment Minister the Hon Molwyn Joseph has responded to concerns from the Poultry Farmers Association that they may be forced to increase egg prices.
The Association has said it is reviewing prices as it is faced with higher costs for bio-degradable alternatives to Styrofoam egg boxes.
However, Minister Joseph, whose Ministry is spearheading the phased ban on the use of Styrofoam containers, is confident a solution will be reached.
