GOVERNMENT EXPECTS SUBPOENA IN ALFA NERO LAWSUIT TO BE QUASHED

Lawyers for the Government says the latest lawsuit filed by the daughter of a Russian oligarch regarding the sale of the Alfa Nero superyacht, is a misuse of the courts in the United States.

Cabinet says it is costing tens of thousands of dollars to defend against what it calls an “outrageous” request made by the claimant for banking details of several individuals and entities in Antigua and Barbuda and the United States.

Cabinet is also confident the US federal court is likely to quash the subpoena filed by Yulia Guryeva-Motlokhov.
