GOVERNMENT SECURES 22,000 DOSES OF OTHER VACCINES
Antigua and Barbuda is now set to receive doses of vaccines other than the Oxford-AstraZeneca which has been rolled out in public vaccination campaign.
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne made the announcement earlier today as he outlined commitments received to date.
Sinopharm says its vaccine has shown an efficacy rate of 79.34% while peer-reviewed journal The Lancet reports Sputnik V’s efficacy is at 91.6%.
Meanwhile Health Minister the Hon. Sir Molwyn Joseph confirms discussions with biopharmaceutical company Pfizer have been ongoing.
Pfizer reports its efficacy rate stands at 91.3%.
