GOVERNMENT TIGHTENS QUARANTINE ARRANGEMENTS

Returning nationals who’ll be quarantined for 14 days in a state facility will have to pay a daily fee of 100 EC dollars.
The Cabinet reverted to the decision as the costs of having people in government quarantine reached the millions.

The Minister says use of the tracking bracelets should begin tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Chief Medical officer told cabinet yesterday that quarantine for 14 days remains the safest policy.
Her comments come as some jurisdictions have moved to shorten the quarantine period.
