GOVERNMENT TIGHTENS REGULATIONS ON PREFAB AND CONTAINER HOMES IN ANTIGUA & BARBUDA
Cabinet has approved a policy that requires anyone importing prefab or container homes into Antigua & Barbuda to first get approval from the Development Control Authority (DCA).
The decision comes amid a rise in imports, and government says it’s to ensure homes meet local building codes built for our tropical climate and storm risks.
Homes already at the port will also be inspected, and unsafe ones will not be approved for use.
