GOVERNMENT TO TABLE AGED CARE BILL IN 2026

Published

Children who register their parents and loved ones at the Fiennes Institute will soon have to pay for their subsistence.

It is one of the mandates to come out of the Aged Care Bill, which Attorney General, Sir Steadroy Benjamin, says will be tabled in Parliament’s Lower House in 2026. Sir Steadroy submits part of the Bill’s mandate stems from a documented lack of care and concern across Antigua & Barbuda for the elderly and one’s parents, in particular.

He made the comments on the final day of the Budget Debate in the House of Representatives, Monday.
