The government has waived the Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax, ABST on food items and certain household goods sold on the sister isle.
The initiative is aimed at reducing the comparatively high cost of living which Barbudans face, due in large part to the cost of transporting goods from Antigua to Barbuda.
The details were disclosed at Thursday morning’s post cabinet media briefing; ABS’ Aisha Caleb was in attendance.
