GOVERNMENT’S EYE CARE INITIATIVE ON TRACK TO POSITION A&B AS CATARACT-FREE ZONE
The Government is being praised for an initiative that has restored the sight of hundreds of Antiguans and Barbudans over the past six years.
The Health Ministry has been engaged in an agreement with the Trinidad Eye Hospital to conduct cataract surgeries and other procedures at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
A team from Trinidad which is in the island this week to conduct the latest set of surgeries, says this has positioned Antigua and Barbuda as a leader in eye care in the region.
