Governor General and Lady Williams attend Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey
Their Excellencies Sir Rodney and Lady Sandra Williams attended the annual Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey today .
As Patron and President of the Royal Commonwealth Society ( Antigua Chapter) respectively, Their Excellencies are invited to participate each year , along with other high level officials of the 55 countries of the Commonwealth. The event is organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society Headquarters in London.
Their Excellencies, who are habitually seated a row behind the Royal Household, emphasized the importance of representing their nation’s chapter , which allows them the opportunity to explore partnerships and exchange workable ideas.
His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams expressed that “this year was particularly important for networking , as there were many questions being posed about the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled in Antigua and Barbuda this November.”
