GREENE ON NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT (NAM)

Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene has called for a rebranded, revitalized and revived Non- Aligned Movement.
The Non- Aligned Movement or NAM is an organization consisting of 120 countries which do not want to be officially aligned to any power bloc.
Many of the member countries are also former colonies of Western states.
The Foreign Affairs Minister made a statement at the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Council in Venezuela.
He says NAM has a duty to be a strong global advocate against threats such as climate destruction, de- risking and black listing.
He also says that only NAM can lead a global objective of consolidation of peace through international law.

Also, more than ninety of the member countries which were present offered statements of support for Venezuela and its government.
