HEALTHCARE WORKERS TO BE RE-TRAINED ON PROPER USE OF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Chief Medical Officer Dr Rhonda Sealey Thomas says healthcare workers will receive more training in the use of personal protective equipment or PPE.
This comes after two more workers test positive for COVID-19 bringing the total number of infected healthcare workers in Antigua & Barbuda to 5.
The Health Ministry received the latest positive results Friday.
It is not yet clear whether the medical workers became infected on the job or through some other source.
The CMO says they were placed in quarantine after presenting with symptoms, then samples were sent to CARPHA for testing.
The CMO says persons with whom they’ve had contact are also being monitored for signs and symptoms of the virus.
