HOUSEHOLDS TO GET GREENLIGHT FOR SOLAR POWER STORAGE, INVERTERS
Energy Minister Hon. Melford Nicholas has announced a major policy shift by the APUA, as the utility will be allowing battery storage and inverters in homes which use photovoltaic, or solar-powered systems.
He says this policy shift will take effect in 2026, with a limit of five kilowatt hours of electricity.
The energy minister says safety considerations will be paramount in the installation phase, but insists this policy shift will encourage more photovoltaic systems in homes.
