Immigration Amnesty Details Expected Before Cabinet Next Week
The Antigua and Barbuda Government says details on a planned immigration amnesty could be finalised and presented to Cabinet as early as next week, as part of efforts to address labour shortages across key sectors of the economy.
Officials say the Attorney General, working with the Immigration Department, is developing a plan that would allow eligible non-nationals who have fallen out of status largely due to financial hardship to regularise their status without penalty.
