Immigration Department to Undergo Upgrades

The Immigration department is set to undergo major upgrade and changes as government seeks to further modernize its operations.

Minister of National Security, Dr. the Errol Cort, has said that a new IT system will be installed to facilitate more record keeping and more adequately keep track of residents and visitors who enter and leave the twin island state.

The National Security Minister is confident that this new implementation will cement Antigua and Barbuda’s compliance with regional and international immigration standards and procedures.

He adds that Immigration officers will continue to receive regular training to enhance their professionalism and effectiveness.
