INFECTIOUS DISEASE CENTRE DEDICATED

The Infectious Disease Control Centre at the Old Holberton Hospital has been dedicated.
The facility allows authorities to provide specialist treatment to up to 17 patients, if required.
The Very Reverend Dean Ernest Flemming blessed the facility before Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne and Health Minister Hon. Molwyn Joseph led officials and members of the media on a tour of the facility.
It is a major overhaul of the Old Margetson Ward and is also complete with living quarters for nurses.
Both Prime Minister Browne and Minister Joseph stressed how significant this event is.
