JAMILLA KIRWAN HUMBLED AND GRATEFUL WITH APPOINTMENT AS INDEPENDENT SENATOR

Jamilla Kirwan is Antigua and Barbuda’s newest independent senator.

She was sworn in at Government House on Thursday in front of family and friends.

Governor General Sir Rodney Williams made Kirwan his office’s choice following the recent resignation of Kiz Johnson from the post.

Johnson resigned ahead of contesting the Antigua Barbuda Labour Party primary for St Phillip’s South, scheduled for December 4, 2025.
