LAWMAKERS REFLECT ON SEMINAL CONTRIBUTION OF FORMER HOUSE SPEAKER SIR GERALD WATT KC

Lawmakers in Parliament’s Lower House have heaped glowing tributes on former house speaker, Sir Gerald Watt King’s Counsel, who died on Saturday at the age of 86.

Members of Parliament engaged in solemn reflection on Sir Gerald’s sterling service at the start of Monday morning’s sitting.

Sir Gerald served for a decade as speaker, before demitting office in 2024.
