LIAT AIR TO BEGIN FLIGHTS TO GUADELOUPE IN MAY

LIAT Air is preparing to launch a new route to Guadeloupe, starting on May 1, 2026.

The announcement comes in the wake of the carrier’s reported steady growth, though it has not yet hit its targets.

Chief Executive Officer, Hafsah Abdulsalam, says the airline’s performance in the first quarter of 2026 is significantly ahead of where it was during the same period last year, when LIAT was still in its startup phase.

However, she says load factors and revenue remain below forecasts for the Antigua-based airline.

The launch of the Antigua to Guadeloupe service will connect the French Caribbean to the OECS for the first time through LIAT.
