LOCAL MUSLIMS JOIN IN EID-AL-FITR CELEBRATIONS AT END OF RAMADAN
Scores of muslims across Antigua and Barbuda and around the world gathered at the Islamic Society’s mosque on American Road Friday morning, marking the end of the religion’s holy month of Ramadan.
They gathered for morning prayer and the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr, the Islamic celebration marking the end of fasting during Ramadan.
After weeks of abstaining from food and drinks from dawn to dusk, muslims turned to celebration, fellowship and thanksgiving.
An adherent of the faith, visiting from the United Kingdom, spoke with ABS News.
