MATTHEWS DOMINATES IN GOLF TOURNAMENT

A major golf title for Antigua and Barbuda.

Jahir Matthew captured the Men’s B Flight crown at the Barbados Open golf tournament over the weekend.

Matthew, son of Sports Minister the Hon Daryll Matthew, shot 48 over par – 3 shots clear of the runner-up Bert Coppin of Barbados.

The victor, one of 16 competitors in the B Flight, had scores of 92, 81 and 91.

Danny Donelin of Grenada came 3rd.
