MAY IS BETTER HEARING AND SPEECH MONTH

Under the theme “Building Connections”, May 2021 is being commemorated as Better Hearing and Speech Month.
Parents of children between 0 and 5 years are encouraged to identify as early as possible any gaps in their speech or hearing.
These may include stuttering, articulation, feeding or swallowing issues.
They must be drawn to the attention of a Paediatrician or Speech Language Pathologist as soon as possible to avoid long-term effects.
