Minister with responsibility for broadcasting the Hon. Melford Nicholas, is holding to his commitment to introduce legislation to manage broadcast media output.

Addressing the issue of indecent music on the airwaves, he says clear standards should be set for such entities.

Using Jamaica as an example, Minister Nicholas said the media commission there provides partial censorship for dancehall music.

With this in mind, Minister Nicholas says steps are underway towards ensuring that filthy content is kept away from the country’s stations.
