MET OFFICE CONFIRMS WORST OF REIGNING DROUGHT FELT IN 2021

There is confirmation the country experienced the worst of the drought conditions last year.
Climatologist Orvin Paige says a paltry 18.5 inches of rainfall was recorded in 2021, less than half of the country’s 39.5 inches average.
Paige says this year has started out well with more than average rainfall, but makes it clear the drought is nowhere close to being over.
