MICHAEL FREELAND SWORN IN AS A GOVERNMENT SENATOR

Newly-elected ABLP Caretaker for St George, Michael Freeland has been sworn in as a Government Senator. He took the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy during a ceremony at Government House on Friday. Senator Freeland emerged victorious during the ABLP Primary on Tuesday, staving off a challenge from three other contenders, including Joel Rayne, who placed second, with 331 votes, to Freeland’s 350.

Freeland’s appointment brings the Government’s side in Parliament’s Upper House back to its full quota.
