MINISTER RAWDON TURNER COMMENDED FOR VENDING CHANGES IN ST JOHN’S

Social and Urban Transformation Minister, Hon. Radwon Turner, has been commended for spearheading the overhaul of vending in sections of the capital.

The praise is coming from Attorney General and Member of Parliament for St John’s City South, Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin, during the sitting of Parliament’s Lower House on Thursday.

The St John’s Development Corporation has been implementing an overhaul of vending in the vicinity of the Public Market and V.C. Bird Bust.

Vendors who had been selling their wares along sidewalks, have now been relocated to the market compound.

This has ensured free flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, a change welcomed by many who carry out business in the bustling commercial district.
