MIRACLE FOR AN ANGEL – 8 YEAR OLD AMONG SCORES BENEFITING FROM PAEDIATRIC PROJECT
Meet Nehemiah Angel, one of the scores of children benefitting from a life-saving collaboration between the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and the World Paediatric Project, WPP.
He wants to be a pilot when he grows up, and thanks to the initiative, he has a fighting chance.
Nehemiah was born with a condition that affects normal blood flow through the heart, and if he didn’t receive an operation within the first year of his life, he would not be alive today.
He is now 8 years old and his mother Kelly Angel is forever grateful to the doctors at the SLBMC and the World Paediatric Project.
The programme is now in its fifth year of performing miracles for children born in Antigua and Barbuda with heart defects.
