MORE EMPLOYMENT TO BE CREATED FROM LUXURY MAKE-OVER AT HODGES BAY RESORT
One of the most iconic brands in management and branding in the global industry has entered the Antigua and Barbuda market.
HQ Hotels and Residences is set to transform the Hodges Bay Resort and Spa in the coming months with the addition of luxury amenities and attractions.
It is set to provide more employment at the property nestled on the shores of northern Antigua.
Chairman of Hodges Bay Resort, Jeff Wellemeyer says current employees will receive additional training, while new staffers will be hired.
The project is being spearheaded by entrepreneur Sam Nazarian’s SBE, in a strategic alliance with Wyndham and its Registry Collection Hotels brand.

and will see Hodges Bay featuring the debut of Katsuya Beach by Chef Katsuya Uechi and Hecho Libre by Chef Wes Avila, as well as the highly anticipated return of storied day-nightlife and dining establishment XIV Beach Club.
Nazarian says, “Hodges Bay Resort and Spa will be transformed into a global beacon, attracting a new generation of aspirational travelers through an unrivaled social hub, unbeatable atmosphere and memorable vacation experiences, particularly for Wyndham’s over 110 million enrolled loyalty members.”
Tourism Minister Hon. Charles Fernandez has welcomed the development, saying it “will firmly cement Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism product as first world and top class in accommodations.”
