MP ALGERNON WATTS ‘DOESNT KNOW’ HOW HE BECAME DECLARANT IN DUTY-WAIVER SAGA

Member of Parliament for St George Hon. Algernon Watts has sought to respond to allegations that he benefitted from unlawful import duty waivers for vehicles he purchased for his car rental outfit.

However, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Hon. Gaston Browne rose on a point of order to make it clear MP Watts personally benefitted from the unlawful duty waivers.

MP Watts says he “does not know how he became a declarant” and suggests this underscores the need for an investigation.
