MP MICHAEL BROWNE RETURNS TO CABINET

All Saints West Member of Parliament, Hon. Michael Browne has been appointed Minister for the Creative Industries and Innovation. His return to the cabinet will be effective Monday, January 3, 2022. Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has written to Governor General Sir Rodney Williams to formalize the appointment. Michael Browne had held the Education, Science and Technology portfolio before being removed from the cabinet after being criminally charged. He was recently acquitted in the High Court, paving the way for his return to the country’s executive.

The Minister will now have portfolio responsibility for areas including Culture, Carnival, Independence celebrations, VC Bird Day Celebrations, Visual Arts and UNOPS.
