Nation Looks Back On Devastating Earthquake 40 Years Later

40 years ago today, October 8, 1974, Antiguans and Barbudans stood still as they were literally shaken by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake around daybreak.

The earthquake shook the islands for some 45 seconds and when it was all done…many buildings and historical landmarks were severely damaged. Luckily…there was no loss of life.
